Colony Bank is pleased to announce the promotion of Kyle Phelps to President of Emerging Markets. In this role, Kyle will oversee the Bank’s efforts to strengthen its presence and expand relationships in vibrant, high-growth communities where Colony Bank is positioned for significant opportunities.
Kyle, who joined Colony Bank in 2023, has over 20 years of banking experience spanning commercial banking, private banking management, commercial real estate lending, and special assets. He previously served as Regional Market Executive of Florida, where he played a crucial role in establishing Colony Bank’s presence in Tallahassee and the Florida Panhandle markets, while also driving initiatives to maximize product profitability.
Prior to joining Colony Bank, Kyle served as Executive Vice President and Chief Banking Officer of Prime Meridian Bank, as well as Commercial Banking and Specialty Lending Executive at Capital City Bank.

Kyle holds a Bachelor of Science in Business and Finance from Liberty University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Florida. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Certified Treasury Professional (CTP). Kyle currently serves on the boards of the Tallahassee Downtown Redevelopment Commission and Tallahassee Young Life.
