Where It All Began

Colony Bank’s story started with a problem – a local farmer in Fitzgerald found himself unable to secure the funding he needed to grow his business. Faced with this challenge, he took action by rallying together other local business owners and community leaders. They envisioned a bank that could be different. A bank that put people and progress first. That dream became Colony Bank and was founded with a mission to foster growth and support the success of individuals, families, and businesses.

Building Communities Together

From our beginnings in Fitzgerald, Georgia, we’ve grown to nearly 40 locations spanning the state of Georgia. Our commitment to fostering progress and serving our customers has also taken us beyond Georgia’s borders, with expansions into Birmingham, Alabama; Tallahassee, Florida; and the Florida Panhandle. This growth reflects our commitment to reaching more customers and communities while maintaining the personal touch and community focus that have defined us from the start.
