Hugh Hollar Inducted into the Home Builders Association of Georgia Hall of Fame

Colony Bank is proud to announce that Hugh Hollar, Senior Vice President and Director of Homebuilder Finance, has been inducted into the Home Builders Association of Georgia (HBAG) Hall of Fame, the Association’s highest honor.

The Hall of Fame Award recognizes individuals whose careers embody excellence, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to the homebuilding industry. Induction is a rare distinction, reserved for those who have made a lifetime of impact.

With more than 36 years of service to the homebuilding industry, Hollar has played a key role in expanding builder financing opportunities and strengthening access to housing across Georgia and the Southeast. At Colony Bank, he has developed programs that provide one-stop builder financing, from construction loans through to mortgages, and built a team with over 125 years of combined experience.

Beyond his work at Colony Bank, Hollar has served on the board of the Home Builders Association Greater Aiken-Augusta Region for more than three decades, where he has been honored as Associate Member of the Year 3 times and received the Shining Star Award at both the local and state level. He has also represented Georgia on the national stage through his involvement with the National Association of Home Builders.

Hollar’s impact extends well beyond the industry. He has served on the Development Authority of Columbia County, the board of the Burn Foundation of America, worked with the Coalition of Quality Government and the Merchants Association of Columbia County, and volunteered with The Bridge Ministry of the CSRA. He also served in various leadership positions at First Baptist Church of Augusta, currently serving as a Trustee and a Deacon.

Commenting on the announcement, Ed Canup, Chief Banking Officer, EVP, said, “Hugh’s induction into the Hall of Fame is a testament to the impact he has made throughout his career. We are fortunate to have his leadership at Colony Bank and grateful for the positive impact he continues to make on our customers, our team, and our communities. We are proud to celebrate this recognition alongside him.”
